Vanilla Filled.

I've always had a knack for baking, I think I started baking since I was in gradeschool. Back then I just use those instant thingamajigs, where you're just supposed to add water and eggs. Sort of like the instant pancakes that everyone buys in the grocery. And while my brother, the chef, prides in different dishes he can cook, I'm proud of pastries I bake. I can't differentiate the taste of Paprika, Oregano, Rosemary and the rest of the herbs stacked in our kitchen, I'm only certain with the taste of Basil leaves because it's the one used for Pesto. But terms like
"Chocolate Ganache" sends tingle in my body, confectioner's sugar is my bestfriend, and chocolates can be my boyfriend (I'm kidding).

Anyway, baking is more on precision, there's clear cut instructions to achieve the desired consistency and texture, follow the right ingredients, use the right amount of temperature, and voila, finisihed proudct. Cooking on the other hand needs really good taste buds and expertise. I have none of the latter so I guess I'm stuck with baking :)

So yesterday, I baked one of the uber yummy cupcakes I've ever done and I've ever tasted. It tasted like heaven. (Okay I'm biased.) Since I don't have the creative juices, my presentation is very limited. They're usually plain, I haven't achieved that 'at-first-glance-you-know-it's-yummy-look'. Guess I have to learn that next time. And as much as I want to share these cupcakes to the world, one recipe usually yields 24 cupcakes so they're limited, so I guess I'd have to settle with sharing the pictures :)

I present my heavenly vanilla filled chocolate cupcakes :)
