Freebies.

I absolutely love freebies. With prices of goods sky rocketing, who wouldn't?

I don't know, but for some reason, I think I might be the target consumer for those who try to package things so there's a freebie, because that always works for me :) Like for some reason, you think that you were able to save money, only to spend more because you end up buying something you really don't need. Haha, but that isn't always the case.

There were instances that I actually got something for free, like I was able to get free fries from KFC because the guy behind the cashier said that my Zinger would take 5 minutes and I was hungry already, so I asked if he can give me free fries. He said yes. Haha, Ian's a witness to that. Hmm maybe it's charm or maybe it's my "hungry-look" that scared the guy because I might eat him instead. I was able to get free donuts from Mr. Donut and Dunkin Donut. I have yet to try Gonuts :) But well, I don't get everything I ask for free, well at least not all the time. Not all my attempts were sucessful, at least I tried, and some were a success. I've tried to get away with parking before, but why would you be charged when you're parked for less than 20 minutes right? So I guess, that one's not really asking something to be free, it's more of asking for what's rightfully not chargeable.

There are also other misleading freebies :p Like last week, I ate in Italianni's with my college barkada for Noelle's birthday (Belated noiebun!), and they actually charged the birthday ice cream (the one that they give when they sing to you happy birthday), it was on the receipt. Well although it makes sense, because they never said that it was for free(before it was though), but it should be part of the whole birthday dining experience right? And with the humonguos amount of taxes that you pay when you dine, that should at least be free :) There's the 10% service charge and the 12% tax, I'm just thankful I have discount card at Bistro Group restos. My brother said they eat in Fish and Co. and the birthday ice cream was free, it's part of the Bistro Group too. Anyway, it makes sense also because what if people pretend that it's their birthday so they get the free ice cream right? That's free dessert, but that would be deception and you'd probably feel bad after for making the waiters sing for you just to get free ice cream. I enjoy getting freebies, but freebies that are guilt-free, and doesn't involve any form of deception :)

Oh man, I wish I could get gas for free :) Hmmm, I'll try next time I bring a car. Hahaha.
