A Trip Down Memory Lane.

I guess to make up for my really bad memory (not only short-term, but selective as well.. oh and my short attention span, dunno if that plays a significant factor though), I've been keeping a diary since I was in gradeschool. I came across it a few days ago, and I already emailed some of the entries to my friends. It was soooo funny. I can't believe the stuff I've written when I was around 11ish years old. They were so childish, I mean what do you expect, I was a kid back then ;) I made a big deal of every little thing that happened to me. I kind of made a drama about my life, which was kind of rica-centric. The one before that was much worse, I think I started to keep one when I turned 8. I got one as a gift, the one with a lock and all. The thought of having all your experiences kept in one small notebook, locked up, and nobody else allowed to read, could probably have amused me greatly. There were pages ripped, and I think it was the fear of someone else reading it. Talk about paranoia. Years years later, here I am, putting my thoughts for the public to read. I think my parents actually read my blog now.

After a while, I started to keep two journals. One is actually more of a planner, where I write the littlest of things that happened to me. It's got very minimal thoughts, more of the stuff I did, like meeting up with friends, watching movies, etc. The other one's more of like this, from another journal I moved to the Net ;) I dunno, I still like writing about trivial matters, and I never missed a day. My planner is always completely filled up at the end of the year. I remember when I was in Palawan for a week, I'd save the stuff that I did in my phone's outbox. Haha. Since I have a really bad memory, it kinda helps me to remember stuff.

For those who've got old journals, try look for them :) You'll be pretty amazed on the things you'll discover.

August Celebrants. Two of my favorite people are celebrating their birthdays this month, both turning 19. First one is my cousin Kat, who celebrated her birthday last week. I organized the dinner last week in Manongs (old Dencio's) because I thought it was a joint celebration together with my brother! I found out after dinner that we'll have to sched another one for my bro. Tomorrow is my brother's birthday, but I'll be in Subic till Sunday, so we'll be celebrating it next weekend. I can't believe my brother's 19 already! It's his last year as a teen, so it means I'm that old already. Ohh, and I'd like to congratulate my brother for winning first place in the cheesecake contest in CSB. Kewlness. Also for winning second place in Market Basket(if you don't know what that is, it's like Iron Chef), and best appetizer. Okay, so I really had to brag about that in my site :) I'm just really really proud of my brother because he finally got recognized for something he's good at :p He finally got his first medal! So there. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *mwah* *mwah*
