Take me to the Beach.

I need to go to the beach!I get that impulse whenver I feel the sun's fury :) I want to lie down by the shore and bask under the glory of the sun. And I'm even willing to trade my Mcdo Milkshake (Yes, it's back. Mems from the Alabang Mcdo when I was a kid :p) and airconditioning for the uber hot weather by the beach and Banana Choco Peanut Shake.

I've only been to the beach twice only, went to Quezon last weekend with the clan, had our annual family outing.. but May is fast approaching already. It's so sad that I don't have the luxury to go to the beach unlike students who are oh so enjoying their summer vacation. Long weekend is coming, but I don't want to be in a crowded beach where your personal space is suddenly occupied by other people and when the word privacy suddenly becomes non existent. Hmm although people watching is certainly a plus :P Hahahaha.

Nahhh, but I'd rather go to a beach where I can lounge, listen to my beach sounds playlist, read a good book, and sip my ice cold drink while I watch the sun as it sets in the picturesque view of the beach that I can call my own paradise. Then I'd say to myself, "This is life.."

My Weekend.

The looooong weekend felt one week for me, although I wasn't really out of town the whole weekend. I just stayed home, except for Friday to Saturday, my family went to Lucban, Quezon. I attended mass, watched the prusisyon, spent time with family. Oh and after a looong time, I baked cookies last Thursday. I can't remember when was the last time I did that :) Funny, my dad said when I was in high school, it's the only thing I can cook, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, I'm now working and up to now, it's still the only thing I can do. Hahahaha. Oh well :p Oh and I like them really soft and chewy:)

I haven't spent my Holy Week in Lucban in a looong time and I dunno if you can see it in the picture but those are the hundreds of guys, barefoot, in white shirts, pulling the Senyor, that's Christ in a coffin. In the old days, people really used to carry it and it was really really heavy that's why a lot of people where needed. Nowadays, it's just being pulled by ropes, but the tradition still remained. It's still pretty much kagulo, because everyone participating wants to hold onto the rope, and they usually drink before participating so plus alcohol, the result is unimaginable. People believe that the rope used brings good luck, so after the prusisyon, people cut up the ropes and keep it. (Oh and the other pic is with Kitty, my cousin's daughter)

And after exactly 46 days of no coffee because I gave it up for Lent, last Saturday night, when the clock struck 12, my cousins and I went to Starbucks in Shell. Thing is, we all have our coupons from the planner, supposedly for Easter Sunday, the buy 1 take 1 any drink, but they didn't accept our coupons even though it was like 12am ish already. We have to go back the next day pa daw. So I had my coffee fix that night, and the next day, Easter Sunday, I went back to Starbucks with my rents and was finally able to use my coupon! :) I think I confused the barista haha cuz we ordered 2 venti drinks, split into 3 cups haha, because it's buy 1 take 1. Anyway, the catch about that, I think I won't be a coffee drinker anymore. I got so used to having no caffeine fix that my heart palpitates whenever I drink coffee! Even if it's iced coffee, I usually drink brewed coffee before, now I get this weird coffee buzz haha, buzz not alcohol induced, but caffeine induced. So I guess for now, I'd have to say goodbye to my coffee fix :) I dunno if it will ever grow back to me.
